about

Deep beneath the Pacific Ocean, a kingdom lies in ruins, swallowed by the vicious depths long ago. The great stone city of R'lyeh, home to the slumbering god Cthulhu, once a place where he was worshipped, now his prison. As the great dreamer lays dormant within this liquid abyss, his power is still felt, with the slightest of movements, mighty bangs echo out, pulsing through the under water currents. Though the great old one lays in rest, he can still be heard, letting out an ear shattering cry as he reaches out to his followers through a telepathic means we can never hope to understand.

The Cthulhu mythos is a constant source of inspiration for me, this time leading me to create this dark track representing and bringing to life R'lyeh.

I wanted to maintain the warbling, synth based sound I have been developing, whilst delving more in to a soundtrack/soundscape lay out, creating something you might here alongside a slow burning horror film.

I make the the sort of sounds you'd hear on a cursed VHS tape you found an abandoned basement.

Occasional not so creepy music shows up too.
